We already have a place to go…so I don’t need that.
For our 1st year anniversary we each wrote a romantic letter to each other. The person that wrote the best letter got a romantic date planned by the other person.
For our 2nd year anniversary we each went out and got something under $10.00 that would be something “sweet”. He went out and got me a photo album and said that each year on our anniversary we are going to take a picture and put it in this album so that when we are older we can look back on all the great years we had. I got him a gift card (I’m not going to go into why that was sweet but if you knew him you would know why).
Well December 30th is our 3rd year wedding anniversary and I don’t know what we should do this year. We want to keep it free or very cheep. I want it to be more meaningful. Any ideas on what we can do.
My Husband And I Like To Do Something Different Every Year For Our Anniversary Gift. I Need Ideas?

You get the room early, while he is at work. Go there and get it set up .. wine, cheese, crackers, a new or favorite nighty …. candles to light later …. spray a nice scent …
Then lead him into the room with his eyes closed …
You win

Why don’t you both cook each other a meal and then eat it with wine and candle light .. After that sit by the fire and laugh and talk .. then maybe take a bathtogether and just touch each other slowly … Then after you done with that head into the bed room …

After dinner when you two are back at the hotel. Why not have dessert there?..I MEAN… have you ever thought of becoming a buffet for him and he for you? Buy some chocolate, strawberries…blue berries …spray whipped cream.etc..etc…and…buy a $1 table cloth. When you are alone in the room put some love songs on the CD…and slowly get each other naked……. Have a dessert smorgasbord with each other.bodies…then after wards take a long hot shower with him….and if the gods allow…make that a sensual time too… It’s a gift that will make him smile whenever he thinks about that night. Or if that’s not your style….a hand made coupon book for things you promise to do for him in the coming year….PS: make sure you put a expiration date on them…LoL…!!

Make him a blog/timeline telling him how much you love him and talk about all the previous gifts on your anniversary’s and all the great times you’ve had together. My b/f used http://ourstory.excellentabc.com to make one for me and I loved it. It is free to do and we both keep it updated as our relationship grows.
Like your 1st year, you both could do one and keep the best one. Whoever lost gets that romantic date planned again.
Have fun

You two have really come up with some creative ideas so far! My thought is for you to get a poster board, cut it in shape of a heart, decorate it, and place Polaroid/digital pictures of the things you enjoy doing with him or about him on it. Example, you enjoy taking walks with him, take a picture of your shoes together and write a little note below it. Or, you enjoy cuddling with him on the couch so take a pic of your couch. You can also cut out things from magazines to put on your “card”. Another thought is to wrap up the video from your wedding and watch it together on your anniversary. Depending on the cost, some movie theaters allow people to “rent out” a screen and you can have them play your wedding video. You can make a book for your husband telling why you love him and put pictures in it.
Endless thoughts! Hopefully I was able to give you some good ideas
Good luck and Happy (early) Anniversary!

Here’s something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating … you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

The album was a lovely idea.
Why don’t you make something for one another? It doesn’t have to be elborate or fancy. Just something simple that expresses your feelings and you spend some time and put some thought into. Make some rules: has to be made of things you find around the house or something like that. It could be fun and you could turn it into kind of a game by teasing each other with hints.

Congratulations!
Go out to an inexpensive dinner to your favorite restaurant. Enjoy the time together and give each other a nice card or make one for each other.
