My husbands birthday is coming up soon. Problem is we are so broke. I can’t afford anything expensive. So I was wondering if anyone had any gift ideas or romantic things to do that don’t cost much? Thanks!

You could make him a special dinner with the things that he likes to eat the best.
You could make him a special birthday card using clippings out of magazines .

Take him to a park or other outdoor spot. Ahead of time, you or other person set up candles in the shape of “I love you” OR “you light up my life” You can get pretty inexpensive tea lights to do it. Then take him home where there is a hot bath, his favorite home cooked something and YOU to delight him!

I have heard of love jars before…. basically you write down 365 reasons why you love him and he can open one up everyday…. or I guess 52 and he could open one up once a week
Here are some other ideas I got from the net
Spell it Out - With Sidewalk Chalk, write your names in a heart on the sidewalk where your sweetheart is sure to see it.
For my wife’s 50th birthday I got lots of photos of her right from being a babe all the way up to date, scanned them, and presented them as a slide show on the PC. Accompanied with a couple of Andy Williams tracks this went down a real treat. :-*

For christmas I drew the paternoster in calligraphy in welsh on parchment paper and framed it for Robert. He is welsh and we say the lords prayer together at night. It cost like $10 frame included. You could do something like that using some interest of his. How is the weather. Try something outdoors or wrap yourself in a bow with a card that reads ‘any way you want it’. Like that last one? He probably would.
