Marriage Counseling Question?

My husband and I are having severe marriage problems. I have been diagnosed as Bipolar and we have CareSource insurance in ohio. Does anyone know if they will pay for marriage counseling, considering it is recommended as part of my treatment plan for Bipolar? Where can I find out?

If you contact your insurance company and they don’t cover the counseling, you might check with your local mental health agency, or maybe someone such as Catholic Social Services. They can provide counseling at a greatly reduced cost - or even free depending on the circumstances.

Call different mental health agencies in your area and ask if they have anyone there that specializes in marriage counseling. If so, then ask to speak to someone in their financial department to see if the agency takes your insurance.
Good luck to you. I’m having marriage problems myself and I know how hard it can be.

If you are presently staying in Ohio, then please telephone to the Insurance company and enquire. I think it should cover. If you are elsewhere, then you can send a letter to them.
