I’m In College Right Now, Been With My Boyfriend For Just A Month. Any Ideas For A Valentine’s Gift For Him?

I don’t want to do anything too cutesy, and I’m just not sure how to handle a romantic gift this early in a relationship. He likes typical guy things… sports, etc. He’s taking me out to dinner, so I can’t do that. I just would like something simple but all I can come up with is candy…

Many guys like getting flowers or stuffed animal toys.

Chocolate candy in a heartshaped box is a great gift. Or you might give him a Dove Chocolate rose. If you are into baking, you might bake him some heart shaped cookies. Not too many ppl get homemade cookies nowadays and they are really special.

A gift card to a music store? A gift card to a video rental store? Or maybe just a card with a handwritten coupon for a dinner and movie with you paid for by you. Get creative girl…you dont have to do the traditional or cutsey but you also dont have to spend a fortune either.
Good luck and happy Valentines day!

Have you ever heard of post secret? Go to http://www.postsecret.com I read something really cute on there about a boyfriend who is getting there girlfriend a post secret book and putting secrets of there own in there, each secret is something he loves about her. Try that. I think any guy or girl would really appreciate that.

the guy def DOES NOT want flowers… get him a little singing card… if you know what kind of candy he likes best… food is always a good bet…
no stuffed animals… it won’t stay for long…
try a sampler heart with a card… it’ll be fine

OK. I don’t know if I can really help but I’m going to have ago.
My advice, keep it simple. Dinners good, it allows you both to get to know each other more and hey being spoilt is always nice. By him a card number one must, nothing to romantic you dont want him to freak out, so just something funny to say, “hey tiger be my valentine..” its corny but it says hey lets make it fun!!!
Also think of things that relate to what he likes e.g favourite band, do they have a new CD out or music DVD. if there is a local concert on that he’d like to go to see if you can grab two tickets… Buy him chocolate (most guys secretly love chocolate), help pay for half the dinner/ drinks is another option if he’ll let you..
Do something that is sentimental to the both of you that you both can enjoy but is special to him.
Hint.. maybe give him a small photo frame with a photo of you in it.
Well I don’t know if that helps at all, I hope you both have a wonderful evening/day what ever you too decide to do.

I cant tell you what to get him but if you and I have been dating a month I wouldnt expect anything at all from you. I would be expected to do something for you I know but just the same. This isnt going to be as big a deal to him as it is you so dont give it too much thought. Just get him a card and thank him for dinner.

Your best bet is to get him a card and something small that he’s interested in. The problem with us guys is we get too many gifts we don’t want, therefore, it would’ve been better to get nothing at all! Maybe a DVD he’ll like or something. Then again if you’re loaded you could afford to spend more.

A DVD or a t-shirt of his favorite sports team. Or a sports book like Sports Illustrated Football Book, ESPN Sports Almanac, something like that. If he wears hats maybe a gift card to Lids.com or a hat of his favorite team. I find that anything involved with sports seems to be the way to go when you’re going not cutesy and reasonable price wise. He’ll appreciate it the simplicity and the fact that you’re not pushing the cutesy issue early on.
