It is not hopeless. The best advice that I can give you is to read Proverbs 31. That describes what God views as the quintisential wife. I know that if you act that way, even when he is selfish and horrible, he will see your actions and be convicted. That conviction will lead to change.
Also pray, and pray and pray.

Always communicate with each other and never go to bed angry at each other if possible even **** before if you can and always keep SEX exciting and take care of your self well physically….. Listen to what he has to say… Ask him what makes him feel good in all ways not just sexually…… Do what he wants to do sometimes and don’t complain for no reason…….

Good communication, trust, and a close friendship between you and your mate will go a long way to a lasting relationship. Be able to laugh at yourselves too, without taking things too seriously.
If that doesn’t work, try Tupperware. It hurts less when they throw it at you.

Most marriages do end but there is always hope. Any marriage can last if both partners really love and respect the other.

It is so important to maintain your individuality in a marriage. We tend to become “we” after the nuptials, losing who we are, the person our mate fell in love with.

only way that works is for one to give in, not much to look forward to is it?

Good communication is the key. All the arguments I have ever had within my marriage have stemmed from misunderstanding, or one of us not making our feelings on a subject plain enough. (Things improved a lot when she accepted I was rubbish at mind-reading).
Also communication and closeness improve when a good sex life is maintained.
